For the cost of a warm coat or a tent, you can earn yourself a joint.
And those supplies will go towards those without homes, many of whom are struggling to camp out in a cold winter in the woods.
“It’s a really lovely way for people to be able to give back,” describes Kelly Addison, owner of Kelly’s Green Lounge in Orono and organizer of The Cannabis Give Back Project.
On Dec. 18, between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., you can bring new or gently used sleeping bags, tarps, tents, or camping gear to Pipe Dreamz in Peterborough and in exchange receive a “doobie” of cannabis.
“We’re sitting on some beautiful homegrown donated cannabis, from some of our most influential growers in the area,” says Addison.
